Community Participation

Individual Activities

Social and recreation activities are an important part of life for all of us.

We understand that sometimes people like to do things independently, but may need a little support to get to the activity or whilst they are doing the activity. This is where we support our participants with the support they need to make it happen.

One-to-one supports are available to assist with things like:

  • Transporting to appointments
  • Active engagement in individual activities, like reading in a library, having a coffee in a coffee shop, going shopping, and the list goes on
  • Fun activities such as going to a concert, going to the beach, engaging in sports etc.

Group Activities

We understand where our participants prefer to get their local coffee, the movies they love, and all the other stuff they love about life in our great city.

We then tailor supports which enable our participants to fully engage in their everyday activities, empowering them to contribute to their local communities.

Our team of support carers have extensive experience in helping our clients to:

  1. Experience the arts – whether it be the local cinema or attending the world-class performances at the Perth festival
  2. Participate in sport and recreation – whether it’s Dockers or Eagles, badminton or tennis, our specialists will be there on-hand as your helper and primed cheer squad!
  3. Learn new skills and undertake training – our team can help you cultivate new and existing skills through attending local courses or more formalised training institutes like TAFE and University
  4. Volunteer – we understand that our clients want to give back to the community, and through facilitating engagement in local volunteering programs we help them to forge strong relationships and entrenched roots within their local areas.
